For blade...i usually go for a:share, post-1993 spelling...so of course its not pronounced the way it looks

pre-1993 when they revamped the entire way of writing the language i could have shown you almost anny word...but now my writing is considered 'illiterate' and outdated.

Try the Onterio language programs...those are the 'official' ways to spell the words. Personally i ignore the european alphabet all together and now use the cheerokee sylables. Fitting the Mohawk words to the Cheerokee 'alphabet' is suprisingly uplifting. You can get the sylabols off almost any Cherokee(remember cheerokee are also Iroquois,just were not in the original confederacy), language website and the font can also be downloaded, if you then wish to print out your words.I recomend anyone who truely wishes to learn any Iroquois language to first learn the alphabet.Just as you have to learn the english one befor you can write english, then when you hear an Iroquois word you can simply break down the sylabols.If you do not understand that the language is not written in individual letters like wuro languages but in combined sylabols...well you will only ever be able to say words and never get to the point of actually speaking the language. Also it is now(since 1993) an overwhelming language, meaning words are not simple words but actual phrases that to an outsider seem incredibly complex and very intimidating. For example the word for handkerchief is... iontshi>nionh keroke wahtha ...not kidding. It is also a language that is filled with discriptive words, unlike in english where chair means cjair,peacock is peacock,and apple is apple...well we have respectively: anitskwa:re=hips-go-there, skanaie'kowa=it shows off. and sewahio:wane=one big fruit. So save yourself time and a lot of frustration and learn the very simple sylables, learn as many discriptive words as possible...then when you are ready to learn buy a few audio tapes and after a few months of listening to the sounds and practicing you will be able to blend it all together and not only learn to write the words but to speak them as well.
